Mettler Toledo’s Industrial Compact Systems (ICS) are offered in aluminum diecast or in full stainless steel with ingress protection up to IP69k for high pressure and high temperature washdown. The family includes scales with capacities from 0.6 to 600 kilograms. They are suitable for industrial applications from simple weighing and counting to more complex applications, such as totalizing, check weighing or classifying.
The upgraded firmware for all models provides a modern and intuitive graphical user interface, according to the company. Prompts lead operators step by step through a procedure. User profiles allow language, rights and key configuration settings for flexibility in work style and quick employee changeover. Scale respective data interfaces connect up to four weighing platforms and integrate with existing IT or process control systems.
A USB host interface allows the simultaneous connection of multiple USB devices, such as printers, barcode readers and keyboards. The "alibi on the fly" functionality stores weighing data on a USB stick in real time to avoid time consuming downloads of weighing data at shift’s end. Optional rechargeable lithium ion batteries reportedly provide mobile operation time of up to 29 hours. Paired with the WLAN option now available for all models, the scales are suited for mobile applications.
The ICS4 and ICS6 product lines are available as ready to use compact scales in many different capacities and sizes, or as weighing terminals in different application levels. The terminals allow the connection of the entire Mettler Toledo platform portfolio, including the recently launched PBK9 high precision weighing platforms. All data can be managed on the scale or centrally with the upgraded PC software DatabICS for efficient management of users, article database and weighing data including a new editor for the creation of customer specific print labels.
